Your funny, why dont you go tell the guys running around in 11 second Civics that it take madd amounts of torque to make a car fast. I dont hate all domestics, mainly fords. A 14.9 with a stang? that must suck, got a V8 performance engine and just barely break into the 14's. Not to mention Stangs are a dime a dozen, look, theres one now, oh, and there, one over there, and they all think they run 10's. Torque is a sence of power, but it doesnt take huge amounts to go fast, and ET's are all that matter. If torque was the biggest factor, wouldnt I have been the one to lose against the GMC Sierra V8? Yea, he had torque, but I won by 5-6 car lengths. Stangs arent shit, they get beat up on by Z28's and TA's, and if they dont have any FI or engine swaps, they can be beaten fairly easily by modded imports. Impornt generally are better looking cars, and can be modded fairly cheaply. Yes it cheaper for for domestic V8's to go faster, but then again, I get a 10k headstart, cause thats how much cheaper my import would be compared to a Camaro or Firebird brand new. With that money, I think I could kill a Camaro. Oh, one more thing, a 98 Stang GT with 88k miles on it, loaded(yes, even leather), is only worth 8k retail, how much would you get in the real world, maybe 6k. Good try though.
95 Eclipse gone, meet the Lude. Now driving 97 Honda Prelude. Fast, but a few mods wouldnt hurt. How about a Cold Air Intake for starters...
