I'm a little confused. I know that reaction time isn't counted in quarter mile time, so what is it's actual purpose? I mean, do pro racers race based on who gets to the finish line first or do they race purely on quarter times?
On one of my races, I beat this guy off the line with a reaction time of .655 to his 1.059. I ended up crossing the finish half a car in front of me, but the timeslip says his e/t was 16.323 vs by 16.499.
My conclusion was i'm the better driver (for that particular race) and he has the faster car.
But how does r/t and e.t. play in things like bracket racing etc?
