#12565, "interior lights dead, alarm related??"

Ok guys I am in a little bit of a predicament here. I was finishing up installing my alarm tonight in my 2g, so I pulled off the center vent to drill a hole for my led light. I see that the red/white striped wire for the hazards is wired down to a red wire in the radio harness? Seeing this I was confused as the wire it should be connected to is just sitting there unused. So I rewired them back together in the stock configuration. Finished buttoning everything up, start the car, turn on the lights...sweet everything works! WRONG, about 2 seconds later the interior lights for the gauges and center console go out, as well as the turn signals. So I checked all the fuses in the fuse box all were good then I checked the fuse for the hazard light connection on the alarm and it was blown, a 75 amp fuse too? So I cut out the fuse and tried it, again...nothing!
At this point I was tired and frustrated so I quit. Now, I have the hazard connection from the alarm connected at the same spot as my reverse glow gauges, at the dimmer switch for the interior lights. The alarm came with two hazard wires ( I am assuming they wanted you to connect them directly to the lights?) but I only had one hooked up to the wire. Does anybody have any clue as to what could be the cause of this? I guess tomorrow I will try and hook the red wire back to where it was at before and see if that does anything, but as of right now I am completely lost. Sorry this was soo long, I was trying to be as descriptive as possible.

Thanks,
Travis
