you punched a hole in one so you arent using it; its just sitting there in the box as a passive radiator? (assuming its a common volume box) no wonder it sounds like poopy shit. as far as i remember, the old punch subs used a foam surround and a paper cone, so its possible to patch the tear using a combination of toilet paper and fingernail polish (the clear kind). build up 3-4 layers and that should last for a little while.

your system sucks because you are effectivly running the one powered sub in the worst possible way. get that other sub patched up or move the one good sub into a box thats appropriate for it.
