The ohm rating of a sub notes what resistance the sub places on the amp. Placing subs in different configurations creates an ohm load on the amplifier, you can't create an ohm load on a sub....just doesn't work that way.

I've never liked Audiobahn subs so my first instinct is to tell you to stop buying junk, but that's just me.
