running an mbc on the stock bottom end. i mean, i know all the mechanics of one, but how big is the chance of it "breaking" and overboosting? i've heard of people gettting boost spikes w/ them(this happened to dino if i remember) where the spring failed. i guess i kinda know the answers already... just wanna know your opinions, and anyone who is running them on the stock bottom end.
i'd just like to have it there, and leave it open all the way. then just use it if i want to up the boost from 5psi temporarily(track, etc).

I never had any spiking problems with my old MBC (Joe P). I just used it to raise boost to exactly where I wanted it (6 psi). It should improve spool time even if you don't raise the boost. I would set the MBC for exactly what you want on the track. Then just unplug it and reconnect the wastgate lines if you want standard boost. If you unscrew the MBC all the way, it will take you forever to reset it for the track. It takes alot of tweaking to get the boost exactly where you want it.
