#95726, "Vortec, SFPR Help, 2.72" disk problems"

Hello everyone, I could really use some help on this today. I am working on my car changing out the stock injectors and placing in 30# Accell injectors. I went to put the 2.72” disk in my regulator and I think I have a problem. It seems to me that the ring does not fit around the disk correctly. Hopefully you guys will be able to tell me if this is how it’s supposed to be.

The 2.47” disk and ring fit perfectly and the 2.22” disk and ring also are a perfect fit. I don’t know what my problem seems to be here. Is this a custom ring for a slightly larger disk? I don’t know why they don’t fit right. Surely that’s not how they are supposed to fit, but I want your confirmation.

I was wondering if it would be ok to use the 2.47" disk. It probably wouldn’t be a good idea, maybe too lean, but I thought I would check.

I am boosting up to 9 psi and my fuel pressures with the 3.62 disk are way too high. This fuel line from the pump is badly cracked and looks as if it is about to fail. However, i think it could also be a virbration problem.

Thanks.

i think theres supposed to be a lil play with the 2.72 . your fuel pressure shouldnt be too high tho with the largest disk . i can get mine down to 15 . i have it set at 21psi at idle with the bleed valve almost all the way out and its almost perfect .

Ok, thanks, These's probably .125" play on the disk, but i guess it makes some sence.

I think you misunderstood me about the fuel pressures, I was talking about my stock injectors at max boost witht he 3.62" disc. When i hit 9PSI i max out my fuel pressure gauge. It's max preasure it goes to is 100 psi. I've already blown off fuel lines, i neeed to fix these problems.

I just asked the same question myself a few weeks back, but nobody ever offered and answer. For some reason that I don't understand that's just the way it's supposed to be. Here's my thread:
