Yeah, its the SOHC 8 valve, 4G63 motor, its stamped "4G63" right on the firewall It says I have the F4A22 auto transmission, and from the digging I have done, the F5M22 manual trans is the 5 spd option, i *think*. From what I could find out, all the N/T 90-94 DSM FWD cars use the F5M22 5 spd trans. This means all the 5 spd's from all 90-94 talons, eclispe, lasers,- all the non turbo FWD ones, could work in the Galant..i think haha..I spent almost 2 hours on Google, and still have not yet found any real solid info as to if the 1st gen Galant NT came wiht a 5 spd option. I did find one site that said the base model came wiht a 5 spd, in the 91 model year that I have, so i don't know..I do have a co-worker that knows a guy who may be able to rebuild my auto trans on the side for a really good price, so i may go that route. Hell, I found a master rebuild kit on the net for my auto, for like 250 bucks.. Oh yeah, this motor has 102 HP! yeahhh boyee! 13.5 @108 MPH-2.2 60ft(stupid FWD!)
