ok heres the deal. my girlfriend bought me a set of coilovers for christmas.i dont know what brand they are but all i know is that they are red and alot smaller then most coilovers ive seen. i just got em put on 5 days ago along with a front and rear alignment kit. the car looks great..slammed as all hell and handles like a dream. the only problem i have is everytime i hit the slightest big bump in the road it sounds like a bomb is blowing up in my front wheel wells. my rear is fine though. so my question is if i put aftermarket front struts on my car will the "banging" be eliminated or at least decreased? give me some suggestions
Probably not. Coilovers are loud, they make tons of noise because they don't actually hold themselves together. When the suspension decompresses, the spring can move off it's perch. it'll make hella racket when it pops back into place.
Of course aftermarket struts is NEVER a bad idea.
