#33814, "98 eclipse GS Hub spindles keep breaking"

I have no idea why but my car keeps breaking rear hub spindles. both sides. Any ideas? I will replace them but with in a couple months they break. Ive tried several different companies with the same result. Its almost as if they are heating up and breaking. The bearings are always still intact and not seized.

Are there visible signs of heat stress? Can you post pictures of the spindle, and a close up of the surface of the break?

Yeah It looks like the spindles are melting to the bearing race and at some point they just snap. I dont have the old ones as we just moved.

Interesting. The only thing I could think is that your bearings are actually roached and binding, causing the inner race to slip against the spindle.

Have you changed them since this started?
