I found a couple pictures from the shootout last year so I thought I would post them in preparation for SO'05.
On the way to Rochester from Maryland to meet up with the guys from Rochester DSM. This is a picture of Matt's truck from my passenger window:
This is during the caravan from Rochester to Ohio with the Rochester and Buffalo DSM clubs.
Me on the phone on the side of I-90 when the auto tensioner on one of the cars let loose. His car was towed back to Buffalo and he hopped in someone else's to make it to the Shootout. DSM Dedication! I also look really stupid:

Some of my favorites. Ah memories...
First meet up in the Chicago area Thursday AM. Waiting for the slow people out of Michigan to show up just across the Ohio state line. Perhaps the most missed 2GNT of all time. Understanding curent with Derek. Three pictures of shananigans. (Damn, we had fun. Didn't we?) Fastest running stock displacement all motor 2GNT in the world. I told the man I wouldn't post that picture. This is not that picture. If my car ran 10s, I'd be chewing on the keychain too! Like Jeff said, an amazing time.
Thanks for posting this thread, Jeff. Given my current state of mind with all things DSM, I needed this boost.

Here is another I just found. This was taken by a Buffalo DSM member on the ride to Norwalk. Five hours of smelling raw exhaust from your own exhaust manifold will do weird things to you.

Nope, last year. She didn't go two years ago. (and won't go this year since we broke up the day after the shootout.)

Friday night, just hanging out Took this from the top of the stands... its goes on forever it seems.... The Hahns car going eleventybillion miles per hour out of his trailer. Chillin on one side of the Best Western, Saturday afternoon New England DSM crew at the Econolodge Random pics at the Best Western Pics from the other side of the Best Western Pics from Sunday (ShootOut Day) I'm not sure what this car was all about... looked bad ass tho Look at the sky... sto0pid mother nature...
Good times... Can't wait to do it all over again.

Well, the fastest all motor car this year will be white, but there will also be two silvers (if Daniel comes back), and a red running in the NA bracket.
That picture of all the DSMs first thing in the AM made my jaw drop. I don't care how hung over I am this year, I will be there when the gates open in the AM to run her.
