I went outside today to clean my CAI and i backed my car up and there was some green liquid on the ground, it wasn't the antifreeze so i decided to pull that rubber plug on the transmission and the same green liquid came out. Its a brand new tranny according to my cousin (owner before me) i know it was recently replaced because when he received the car tranny was shot. But anyway the leak looks like its coming from above the tranny and running down. if you take the CAI off and look down at the tranny it is wet around some kind of sensor. What color is the nvt350 oil? and the mopar atf+4 oil?

And also another question, recently my clutch has been acting funny. it has a hard time down shifting but shifts fine. like if you try to the rpms try to climb like the clutch isn't even there. I also realized if your rolling slowly say about 25 then slow down to about 10-15 and shift into first with the clutch pushed in and then rev the engine the car will shake? the master cylinder has been replaced.

Oh and if you want pics of where it looks like its coming from i can get some tomorrow.

There is no green fluid I know of that goes into the tranny. From what you are describing, it is one of the heater hoses leaking onto your tranny.

Of course, if you have green fluid in your tranny, that would explain the problems while shifting, lol. If I understand this correctly (your clutch kind of disengages while in gear), that's a sign of either oil on your disc, or the clutch is going.

So is there a model number on the tranny anywhere? I called my cousin (his sister paid for the new transmission) and i asked if he knew if she replaced it with the nvt-350 and of course he doesn't know. So i call her and she says she cant remember and to call him. its going no where. and the only reason i wanna know is so i can figure out what kinda fluid to put into it. they said they used some molly 220 or something weird like that.

you were right about heater hoses leaking. thanks. i flushed the tranny anyway and put mopar atf +4 in. shifts a bit smoother.

Well I've been looking at the FS thread and PM'ing people selling clutches. I'll keep looking

Did you just say you put automatic transmission fluid in a manual transmission? What you need to do id go to the mitsubishi or chrystley dealership and get a couple quarts of NT-T350 transaxle fluid. It will say NV-T350 on the bottle. That is the only kind that you should use in these transmissions or you WILL destroy them.

New Venture now recommends ATF+4 and it comes in all their transmissions from the factory. Places i have seen it for sale: Walmart Vatozone Menards They all range about 4.00-5.00 a quart.

yea, the top 2 threads in this section discuss that. thanks for trying to help though. Oh and about the clutch, i hit up Andy at SBC and will be placing an order next week. he seems like a good guy and every post i read about their clutches not one of them had any bad feedback.
