okay, i like the indiglo gauges but i also like the look of the blue numbers on black background at night on stock guages from other types of cars. is it possible to use our stock faces but change the bulbs behind to blue or even red for that matter and still get that type of look? any ideas, opinions, advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks Tim97 RS

i dont know if you can change the light bulbs because there are so many of them, but if logic serves correctly, because the lights are are yellow shade, if you were to put a very very dark color red (crimson, almost black) piece of plastic over the yellow/orange lights they should mix with the yellow light and come out light red. if this sounds right someone agree, if not correct it.

Is what they're talking about (the orange paint that they were scraping off the back of the guages) the same on a 2g? I was thinking of doing this also.

Changing the bulbs won't work, they're all plain white bulbs. The stock gauge faces themselves have the ornage in them, but they're three ply, if i remember correctly ( pulled the whole assy out once to paint the bezel silver -- looks badass): white on the back, orange underneathe that, then the stock gauge face on top of all that, and they don't come apart. I tried It's all fused together to make one piece of plastic.
Heck, for $80... get ingiglo.
-DarkOne I'm so bad, i should be in detention.

no yellow and blue are primary colors. yellow and blue combine to make green but it doesnt work the other way around. mixing yellow and green yields brown not blue
