#1039, "aftermarket foglights w factory switch"

hey i have aftermarket foglights and i was wondering if i could hook them up to a factory switch? could i get them to turn off with the headlights or atleast buzz when i leave them on? i keep leaving them on by mistake because the button is under my dash. does any one have a black factory switch they want to get rid of? thanks

I have the pilot motorsports fog lights. The button switch glows green with on and red when off. I have the switch relay power connected to my cigarette lighter and when the accessory is off...so are the fog lights. I can also see the green light/red light during the day. I just cut a small notch into that 1.5 inch square panel below the cruise switch. The switch is mounted with the wire pointing down and going into the notch. The panel pops back into place and it looks factory. You can always use 3M adhesive spray on the back of the switch to get it to stick again if it is dry. Mine has been there since the summer when we last posted about the inserts in the front grill. The only thing I would like better is to have them a bit brighter in light intensity.

It mounts/sticks flush to the slightly curved panel. I would just leave the housing the way it is, with the button on the top and the lights(red/green)on the bottom. You could get a fog light switch from allmitsubishi.com or satan....it should not be much $. Mine looks pretty darn good the way it is and I really like seeing the red/green lights to know if they are on/off....especially on those heavy rainy afternoons. It is pretty cool to be able to run my fogs with just the parking lights or with low beams or with high beams or just by themselves. Let me know if you still cannot visualize the mounting place and I will take a pic with my buddies digital.

i think mine is different. my button has a light around it that changes color when they are on its green, off its red. i think the casing on mine is too big to put it in the dash.
