Looks like some sort of fan switch relay.

The wires are connected to some relay type deal. The yellow connects to the metal bracket on the fuse box. The black is just grounded to some metal, then extends and connects to nothing. The other two go to each radiator fan connector.

Is it okay to just rip this out? It's been bothering me since I bought the car. I don't remember my old n/t having this.

That definitely looks like something that someone put in after the fact. If its going to your fans i would try and troubleshoot the stock fan circuit and relays to see if its working or not. This could have been something where it stopped working and the previous owner could have put his own type of circuit in there to control the fans. Do you have any toggle switches anywhere that your not sure what they do? I've seen people wire them to a switch before so they could only turn them on when the car started getting hot but I've seen people wire them to run all the time as well. However it is though if its hooked to your fans i would start there. If you don't have them you can search on the site here and find the factory service manual to help you trace the circuit. Good luck

Definitely a hack job to bypass an existing wiring problem.

And for future reference, try a better subject/topic sentence than the one you have.

I have two switches in the car that I don't know what they do. One to the left of the center console where the radio is, it has a little LED on it but doesn't light up either direction I flip it.

The other is hidden by the driver's side kick panel and is just a push-type button.

The weird part is the wires just connect to the box, then to a ground, they don't go anywhere inside the cabin IIRC.

My driver's side fan works just fine, I hear it running sometimes.

Your other fan should come on when you have the a/c turned on. Correct me if I am wrong someone but I believe that only the driver side fan comes on with the engine cooling system. The other is your condenser fan for A/C I believe. Anyways it does appear that some one has hacked it up to make them work. Hopefully you can figure it out. Electrical problems are always fun to figure out...good luck.

Since then, I relocated that fuse box. When I get the car back together and running I'll remove those wires. They really don't do much, just two wires spliced into the rad fans, and then grounded. I'm sure the stock circuit will be fine.

Well, to help eliminate part of your mystery I believe that push type switch on the kicker panel is an alarm valet switch. If you dont know a valet switch is a manual shut-off that temporarily disables the alarm system (so you can let the valet park your car, or a mechanic work on your car for example.)In some cases if your alarm is programmed for auto rearm which is nerve racking, you can press the switch to disarm it.
