So i try to start my car this morning and on the first turn it wont start. Try again and it starts up but it seems to be missing like crazy, high idle, exhaust sounds weird, and the CEL is on.
Anyway, i pull the car out of the garage, let it idle for a minute. The rev's come down to about 1000-1200rpm, CEL is still on and when i press the gas the exhaust sounds totally different. It wasnt missing at all, but it honestly sounded EXACTLY like a WRX with no cats and full exhaust if any of you know what that sounds like. I shut the car off and turn it back on and poof, it magically idles perfectly smooth at 800rpm's, exhaust sounds normal, but the CEL is still on.
Does anyone have any idea what that could have been? It's been working fine all day.
Side note - Sometimes when i start my car, for the first 15-20 seconds it misses when you push the gas(it's said to be common with FIC injectors), but nothing like what happened this morning.

It just sounds like you were running on two cylinders. I remember reading a while ago that sometimes DSMlink does that. Try looking through the DSMlink forums for some answers there. Though they will just tell you to check the CEL as well.
