I'm working on replacing the fuel filter but as my friend is removing the battery tray we see what looks like a ground wire hanging in the engine bay. Anyone know where the wire in question bolts too?

Isn't that coming from the harness that attaches to the POS side of the battery? If so, that ain't no ground. hehe
The ground is hanging off the firewall with the yellow stripe.
As for what exactly that wire is?... Got me. Mine didn't have anything that looked like that.

That IS the ground wire, goes directly on the negative battery post.
