Does he have any competition out there, or is his transmission just a monster and nobody can compete. I really dont' want to drop $900+ bones on this, just wondering if I can buy the high performance parts I need somewhere else and put it together myself.

You can buy the parts separately from Shep if you want, but they will cost more money.

I called and asked if they would sell the rebuild kit separately, since my dad is a mechanic we can do the rebuild ourselves, but he said he does not sell the kit whole, individual parts yes, but it is cheaper to send in mine and just pay $900 + shipping than to buy the parts separate.
