I want to say its my bearing but i am new to AWD. Anyone else experience this and what other ways will i know if it is a wheel bearing?

Youre probably right.

But if thats the case, getting a new hub and removing the old one is a bitch.

Well i called pep boys and the labor is $111. I think you need the machine to press it on and doing it by hand is a . If this is the case i will let them do it and pay the money. The question is now figuring out which wheel it is coming from.

What kind of hum? The rear end does make noise compared to a FWD car.

A way to test the wheel bearings is to push on the top of the tire with all your weight. The wheel should not move at all (the tire might, but not the wheel). If the wheels moves you have a dying or dead bearing.

This might not be the case, but you can check and see if the rotor cover is touching the rotor. Sometimes they can get warped over time.

Also check your calipers. Sometimes they can get rusted shut, and end up freezing, also making noise. This wears out the brakes quicker too.
I think you would have to remove the pin that holds the caliper, and sand it down and WD40 it to fix that if its the case.

Both of my rear hub assemblies are shot to shit....the cheapest i can find them so far is $175 a piece.....This is something i don't need right now, another fucking headache......
