I know Apex'i comes with a silencer, which screws into the tip, making it almost stock sounding. It's good for just cruising around, and taking it out when you hit the dragway. IMO, I like the idea.

If you really want a good exhaust, get the Apex'i N1. The sound is incredible out of this setup and it is very quiet at idle, compared to many others, and has a sweet hum on the highway cruising. But if you are hard on the gas, this little monster definitely makes some noise.
Another bonus. If you ever want to get a downpipe, you can order an apex'i n1 downpipe that will bolt directly up to that catback.

The Spyder I bought came with the 5Zigen Fireball exhaust. The sound is hardly noticeable unless at full throttle, but at the cost of having 2 resonators. That won't help performance much, but it keeps it quiet. I think it looks like crap personally.
Also, it was two years old when I got it and it was full of holes. It is not very well made. I would not suggest it.

Ive had a couple people here locally tell me that the stock muffler flows pretty well that its just the cat that really blocks the flow. I realize this is probably only true up to a certain point. I really think I'm going to end up just doing apexi from the turbo back its a good price and widely available with a good name to back it.
By the way eclipse_gs_1512 like your car. Exactly like mine.

Check out turboimport.com and ask for AL. They may have some left overs, as they are official RS*R distributors. That is where I got my old school RS*R after they discont. the firt time around.
