usually with this sort of question i would just contact one of my 4g63 buddies but it so happens to be that they all ahve blocked me from their buddylists.
anyhoo i hooked up a sunpro a/f gauge. i followed the instructions from RRE tapped the 02 sensor on the ecu, which is already tapped by the turbo timer. the wire is crimped to the turbo timer and a little further down the line is the a/f crimp. the gauge reads all the way rich every time i get on it, at idle it goes around the clock, like its reading the a/f spray by spray from the injectors.
anyways are those readings normal or did i tap the wrong wire or sumthin. its a cheap gauge but it still should work properly.
yes, it's one of the better ones. You want an EGT gauge to monitor the temps because a lean mixture makes more power but also more heat. Too much heat and you melt things. You want it as a security precaution if you're tuning for the most power you can get out of the car by running as lean as possible.

i figured it would also be good to ask another question
when i got my car i took off the heatshield andd i only had 3 bolts connecting the turbo to the manifold. after i had the car taken to mitsubish i noticed that i now only have the 2 left bolts holding the turbo to the manifold. this is probably why my t25 wont hold boost past 5.5k. my main concern is that i wont be able to install my 14b onto the manifold.
if anyone has some bolts lying around and a 1g lower intercooler piping along with a oil feed line for a 1g i will GLADLY buy them from you!!!!! none of my local dsmers have any

The reason the t-25 won't hold boost past 5500 rpm is because it is a hairdryer turbo. It loses breath at that point. The missing bolts I'm sure don't help it much either.
Also, take one of your remaining turbo bolts to Lowe's or Home Depot and test the thread size and pitch. Buy two replacment bolts there if they have them.
Also, I might have those parts you are looking for. Email me with exact needs and I'll look for you tonight or when I get a chance.
the dealer probably broke one of them taking it off, its a relatively common problem. Its nice to know they fixed what they broke, though... Fahking Satan

Black 98 GST missing her owner and looking for a new one...Inquiries welcome
there are 3 bolts pointing down and one pointing upwards. the ones that are pointing down are the 2 that are missing, like the heads came off. i should just be able to slide the turbo out

3 pointing down = bolts 1 pointing up = stud take the bolt you have left to a hardware store and buy 3 more. Then take the one you have left and the stud out and use bolts in all the holes. Make sure you soak down the bolts (when the engine is cold) for a few hours with PB Blaster. Then right before you start turning wrenches, run the engine for a few minutes to heat them up. They'll come out easy without snapping anything.
