When it comes to performance and long term damage to the car...does it really make a difference whether you buy new springs or clip the stock ones?

you'll hear alot of opinions on this, whether cutting the springs is bad. Technically no but it has to be done right! And that can be tough to do yourself so I always say get lower springs to be sure.

I think the most damage to the car and to performance comes from NOT doing other stuff to go along witht he lower springs. You will need an alignment done, better shocks, and thicker anti sway bars. Yes, I think ALL of this must be done when you lower the car.

i disagree with some of that stuff. and it all depends how much ya drop it. more important than upgraded shocks and sway bar is a
CAMBER KIT!!!!! i can not stress that enough! you will hella eat tires! but that should be first after the drop and then take it to a shop to align it. and good luck on finding one that will. you'll have a tough time finding one that you car will fit on thier rack or whatever they use. but it can be done!
