Hello and good wishes. I havent been here in some while.

I'm ready to purchase some rims for my 97 Eclipse. I'm partial to a couple Kyowa models I've been checking out.

What I'd like to know is: are 17's or 18's any better or worse for our cars and what is the offset we use?

My suspension is stock right now but I'm dropping the rear 1.5/2.0 inches and not sure about the front yet.

(front bumper cover already scrapes some of the dips in my neighborhood; even at an angle)

Thank you all! Any opinions greatly appreciated.
Nemo

Hey Nemo!

Hope everything is going well.

Check out the 2gnt wheel database for size/offset and pictures in the Int/Ext section.

I am partial to 16's with the fat tires, but 17's look great. I personally would go with 17's only because you still have a good amount of tire around the wheel.

As far as offset, I think that +35 or +38 looks great and fills out the wheel well.

Check out this calculator: http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp

Hiya Tim! Good to hear from you. All's well here as I hope it is on your end.

Thanks for the database link. I'll probably do the 17's with some good tires. I too like a little rubber around the rim as I'm more X than drag.

I'm stuck between the Kyowa B210's and the Tenzo M's. Keeping the car red when I do paint with black rims w/red lip.

Here's a big "hey" to the rest of you good buddies on 2GNT. Hope your holidays will be in high order. "High" being the keyword whatever your choice of poison, lol.
