i work at an autoparts store and i can get these struts fairly cheap but i have head that they are not made for our cars and they will not work good. i am dropped on progress springs if that matters. im just wanting to know what is the deal with them if i should buy them or not.

Pretty much. The strut body is longer than stock, so even at stock height they reduce available suspension travel. If you're lowered more than an inch or so, you'll bottom out on them constantly and they will fail. I run AGXs and love them, but there's no way i'd out them on a lowered car.
