#29595, "front end noise"

Hey guys, I have a problem that is bugging me with the RS. I have a really loud front end noise coming from the pass side of the car. It only happens when I turn the wheel. It sounds like a squeeky bed. I figure that its one of a few things. Rack & pinoin, tie rod or ball joints. I put the car up on ramps and tried to gease the joints/tie rods but they are sealed. While I was under there I had my rooomate wiggle the steering wheel so I could locate the noise. Its so loud, I cant pin point where the noise comes from

Thanks
Tom

most likely ur ball joints. happened to me with my passenger side, whenever i steered right or left it would squeek real bad. just put some grease in the patch and keep on turning the steering wheel right and left. it stopped squeeking after a day of driving for me.

Mine went as well. If you pull up on the fender it will squeak too. You have to narrow it down to which control arm it is. There are 3 ball joints on each side, so one night spray some grease into ONE of the boots, then see if it stops squeaking. If not, do the same to another, etc. This way you can narrow it down to which one is squeaking.
