#17473, "Dropzone springs. Good or Bad?"

Anybody use/used or heard of dropzone springs? A buddy of mine can get them for me for under $100. It claims its a 2" drop but I am worried that it will be more and will totally throw off my camber and the $15 kit won't work. I might just be paranoid. Anyways, any info is great! TIA!!!

What makes them bad? Anybody else heard things about them or used them?

Well, I have heard that the drop zones have a spring rate similar to stock. Generally speaking, this is bad because you have less travel in your suspension...meaning you can bottom out easier. I would opt with a spring sporting a slightly more aggressive spring rate to compensate for the shortened travel.

Well i have them with the GR2s and they suck. I am going to try them with a much stiffer strut and see how they handle. Off hand, I wouldn't recommend them.

Also they start off a 2" drop but settle at about 2.5. My car is extremely low.

Actually, i have them in my car for almost a year now. The do not have the same spring rate as stockers. Not recconmended for use with stocker structs tho in any way. but like i posted before "you'll just get what you paid for". not actually a bad thing if you're working on a budget, but if you're using stock structs you might want to reconsider. as for lowering camber's i believe the drop height is 2'3/4". so yea. In the end, you WOULD be better off buying a better set. But this one isn't too too bad. PEACE!!!
