So as if I didn't have enough going wrong with the car... come to find out today a rear link arm needs replaced on my car. The only good news is that is probably the source of all my rear end noise as it was about ready to fall off. I can't wait to sell this damn thing...

/end rant

Yeah, but for a 99 with 40k on it, I expect a but more reliability then what this car has shown me. Besides... this is the 4th DSM I have owned since I was 18 (I'm 25 now) Its time for something different.

I agree Jason...I love you car and all, it's one of the sweetest on the board, and I hate to see you sell it, but if you have had 4, go out and get something else!

Hey Jason, what does it sound like? When do u hear the sound? Is it like a knocking sound? Man, 99 with 40K miles? Must be a lemon. Now I'm scared too.

It sounds like something is rattling around in the rear of the car. At first I thought it was a tail light that had come loose, because mine tend to fall out every few weeks. But I pulled the wheel off and the bolt and nut had basically stripped themselves, so that damn arm was just floating around back there. I just got it fixed today and drove it, I have not heard my car this quiet in a long time.

may i ask why your taillight fall out? i think they make nuts and bolts to hold them in... glue works too. try craftsman Goop. (the automotive kind) it's like rubber once dried, completely seals everything too, just to show how good it is, i crashed my buick about 4 years ago, and used that stuff to glue the blinker back together, it's still holding strong, it won't let go actually

Not the tailights, the light bulbs inside. There are two on the drivers side that tend to work themselves free every once in a while.
