wheel spacers are illegal in most states. it you take it to inspection in a state you'll fail inspection and possibly get fined.
now the flip side. since it's only illegal to use them and not illegal to sell them your local rim shop should be able to get them. talk to the place your buying from

I remember back in the days wheel spacers were like 20 bucks a set, oh well I'm going to check my local wheel shop to see if I could get these a little cheaper than $120, and that performancewheel.com site has 1 inch as the smallest you could get(I think)

I think they make them and can do it in most any size you need. You might want to PM Juan at 2gnt and see where he got his spacers for his RX7 wheels.
http://www.racerpartswholesale.com might sell spacers as well. Any place that deals with SCCA autocross racing is a great place to start. I would research it for ya, but I am too lazy.

There are 2 types of spacers... Hubcentric, and lugcentric. Lugcentric spacers are not safe on our cars, which have hubs that are designed to center the wheels. The lugs aren't meant to support the weight of the car, the hubs have a lip for that purpose. A spacer that isn't machined to be hubcentric will put the weight of the cars on the lugs. Hubcentric spacers, while pricier, will transfer the weight of the car out to the hubs, which puts it where it belongs. H&R spacers seem to be the best option, at 240-300 for a set of 4. -=B-=
