okay trying to upgrade megatune since i have the old b717 version.

upgrading to megatune_p3.

first time i have ever tried this and it doesnt work.

downloaded files and programs to a cd.

now when i try to download the megatune to the laptop, i get this:

this comes up in a SETUP box:
IPersistFile::Save failed; code0x800004005.
Unspecified error.

But then it saus setup complete.

Click, run megatune 2.25 and I get this.

This is in a Error starting program box:
A required .DLL file, MFC42.DLL, was not found

click okay, then get this:

Unable to execute file:
C:\ProgramFiles\megasquirt\megatune2.25\mtcfg.exe
create process failed; code 1157
one of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found.

now, i got in my old megatune, and copied the 3 ini files from that into the new 2.25 megatune, and still nothing.

any ideas what im doing wrong?

okay i got the p3 installed correctly i think.

went into the one ini file and changed some things to see the right wideband, etc etc.

but now, how to change the VE table to make it larger?

no numbers are set in it yet, but it appears as if its only reading max of like 90kpa and rpm maybe 4-500 RPM.

I went into the other ini file and really didnt see anything for low and high RPM or map values.

am I over looking something? which settings need to be changed to correct that?
