I want to stay around $6000 in cost whats the best route to go as far as turbo setup and engine work. My goal is to have it where its fast but Im not constantly having to fuck with it to drive it.

Rebuild the bottom end with 8.8:1 CR etc. - ~$2000 Rebuild the head (conservatively0 - ~$1000 this leaves you with a grand for turbo. You could go a little more basic on the headwork and save a few bones there imo.

These sites provide a wide selection for out cars. I would buy a 2.2 for howellautomotive and let conceptillusions take care of the head or exileracing.

my 2 cents...get yourself a 2.4 block with low miles and have it balanced and honed. get yourself some srt pistons and rods, you should be able to do that for less than a grand. then you've got 5k for turbo. i'd get some crower 2's cams also. if you need your head built let me know. that's what i do. i have one sitting on my workbench just waiting. actually, i have a 2.0 block in my garage if you need a spare to build. i could set ya up with that if ya want. i can have it balanced and blueprinted too. give me a call and i'll get some costs for ya...chris

i wouldnt sell a reliable 2gnt for a unpredictable 95-96 EVER.... i just dont really see the point in buying a 95-96 when EVENTUALLY itll need a 6-bolt.

Well I considered the GST or GSX route but my wife started bitching that she didnt want me to buy another car in the same age range so I can either keep this one mod it or sell it and by a newer car. I really want a g35 but I love the eclipse so if I could make it fast and reliable I would love to do it.

Sell it and get the g35. That's what I'm going to do.
