#127194, "Major ECU problem"

So tonight I finished installing my EGR block off plates. I start the car to make sure there are no vac leaks, and find out what codes Im throwing. The car starts, idles for about 30 seconds, and it shuts off like I turned the key. So I says to myself, "WTF??" Try to start it again, and it just cranks. I notice 2 things at this point.

1: The CEL light is not coming on like its supposed to when you turn the key. I check my scanner: Number of codes: ?? - No codes found - Ready to pass.

2: The fuel pump is not priming when I turn the key. Also put 2 and 2 together when Im cranking and the WB02 is showing no fuel in the exhaust.

So this is what gets me. I leave the key on, look the engine bay over. Cant find whats wrong, so I stand next to it talking on the phone for a good 5 minutes. I hang up the phone, and what do I hear, an ASD relay clicking and my fuel pump priming. Again, "WTF??". Hop in and crank it, starts RIGHT UP.

My car has eaten 3 (including this one) 95 ECUs. What is going on? Im about to go all out and get the new ECU with a lifetime warranty for a few hundred bucks. I cant afford to not have a running car half way to the shootout.

Have you examined the relay you were referring to and checked for shorts or anything fried around it?

Yes, I have swapped the relays with a set out of a perfectly running car and still had a "cutout" problem. I made a thread about it before with my old ECU, the car will be driving and stall and start back up because its in gear.

Im also pointing the finger at the ECU because whenever this happens, any CELs I had are cleared.
