#127628, "where to find std size SS valves.."

I was trying to find stainless valves in STD size, I did find them but the cheapest one's are from CI (not so good to deal with) and the other ones from Howell (I want to have them sometime during this decade..lol).

So I wanted to know if you guys knew of somewhere else, that go for less than $200.

I found ones for around 100 but they are 1mm OS. And I asked my mechanic how much does the machinist that does his race head's charge for doing the new valve seals. And it's $20 per valve... 16 x 20 = $320..!! that's a lot! plus the cost of valves that's around $450 in just valves.

I think if I were to spend $450 I will be better spent on cams... or something else; maybe a MS.

Any help would be welcomed.

The OP only has one cam in his car? Wow, lol.

I also use raceengineering for some of my parts (just not that link).

Honestly, prior to getting a hook-up from a buddies shop, I used E-bay for my stainless valves.

EDIT: those links are O/S valves, but I am sure you can call and get STD size.

Regardless I have SI valves installed in my new head.
