I am not completely certain, but I almost know for sure that only the 95-99 transmissions will work. That is a 2003 one. So I don't think so. Someone smarter than me will verify this.

In the wiki it has some information on the neon transmissions and it goes up to 2003. so Im not sure.

it'll work. Just make sure it's not from a SOHC magnum cuz the final drive is the same as ours which would make this purchase pointless

It may not be pointless. Maybe he is looking for better highway millage.

The SOHC tranny would give him a 3.55 final drive opposed to the DOHC 3.94.

Really need to know just he wants.

Anyway they both work. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right and wrong, heh heh. As pointed out, the SOHC Magnum has the 3.94 (with the .81 as opposed to the .72) Whereas the SOHC is generally consided to have the 3.55 (except of course as noted previously).

Now did you guys ever think that MAYBE his transmission is bad and he needs another one? That would not make it a "pointless" purchase, lol.
