hmmm, i wonder what kind of goodies are sitting shotgun?
drivetrain upgrades!
yum
so i have: 1. fidanza non-modular flywheel 2. gottude's clutch disk 3. gottude's pressure plate 4. (6) 95 Neon flywheel -> pressure plate bolts 5. new throw-out bearing 6. new skool racing LSD thingy 7. the special mopar NV-T350 transmission fluid 8. differental pin brackets
what else do i need? i noticed that the pressure plate is pretty insane. i don't know how i'm going to compress the whole thing to get the bolts to reach from the pressure plate to the flywheel. i also noticed that it was difficult to get everything to line up correctly.
thura? how did you do all of this stuff? i know you have a very similar setup. the only thing i remember you saying was something about the whole assembly being a PITA to put in.

well, for the record, my car was pratically untouched last night at Bill's garage.
instead, he had another NV-T350 lying around which we messed with for a while. we sprayed the thing down with brake cleaner, and installed the new skool racing LSD. the bolts that you have to take out in order to install the differental pin brackets were a PITA! OMG. they were SO tight and we didn't have a vice or any good way of holding them in. we must have destroyed 3 13mm sockets in the process. took us about an hour to get 4 of them out.
wednesday, after my calc 2 final, i'm going back down to Bill's garage and i guess we'll put in the transmission that's currently laying around his garage and install the new stage 4 clutch.
i have lots of pictures and movies, but since we're not even close to finishing the job i won't post them
