#926, "Install LSD. Correct instructions?"

I was looking for some instructions on how to install a lsd, and came across these. Would these work for our cars? If not, does anyone have instruction on how to??

Main install - http://www.scecnet.net/~neonneon/neon/gripinstall.html

Where ^ is (down at the bottom)- http://www.turbovan.net/Trans3.html

Yes, that's the same instructions for our cars with the same hurdles to overcome.

Here's Newskool's instructions as well:SID (Slip-in-Diff) Instructions

A factory service manual is mandatory for this installation!

Remove transmission.
Remove Diff from trans
Remove Diff Pin
Check your spider gears for flatness, the straighter they are the more traction your SID will put to the ground.
Insert SID into Diff with springs in place like this >
Tap unit into diff with a rubber mallet until the holes line up on the gears
Install Diff Pin
Install retaining pin
Install Diff Pin tabs and/or weld diff pin in place.
Install Diff into trans
Install trans into vehicle
Replace transmission fluid with Mopar or manufacturer approved fluid only!

UPDATE:

Make sure the hex bolts that hold the hardened wear plates to the center section are torqued to 15Ft/Lbs ea.

Break-In:

Break your new SID in slowly. Hold off on any 8000RPM drops for the first few hundred miles. The unit needs time to activate, which varies from car to car due to tolerances in the transmission. Give it a couple hundred miles to break-in and fully operate.
