Ok I've never had anything but a stock organic clutch in any car I've driven so I don't know what's normal. My SPEC stage 3 does a couple weird things so let me know if it's normal. Ok when I try to slip the clutch at all when taking off it chatter pretty good and jerks. I know slipping wears them faster but I didn't know you couldn't slip it. Also when I use reverse it chatters bad. I think it's cause I never let the clutch all the way out in reverse and it's doing what it does forward but it's worse. It also doesn't grap until a lot higher in the pedal travel compared to stock and is VERY soft even after about 500 miles. I'm talking way softer then even my power brakes. If this isn't all normal I'm thinking maybe I need to adjust the clutch. This can be done from inside the car on the pedal adjustment right? If so can someone either tell me how or tell me if it's in the service manual? If it is I can look it up later when I have mine with me. Thanks

That's all pretty normal. The pedal will stiffen up some more over time, as well as drop down the engagement point. New clutches just feel strange, depending on driving style, for quite a while.

Yeah I've heardthey have some strange wear, and new clutches I know do. But I would say give the hydrolic clutch system a bleed, see if that stiffens the pedal up.

My new custom bastard child non modular clutch(hehe i used a modular clutch with rivits drilled out, using bolts), got chatter really bad when i first drove it. It acted like it just wanted to grab hard as hell when i tried to slip it. After almost 900 miles now, it acts like a stock clutch pretty much(except the ceramic 6 puck disk grabs hella harder), and stock pedal feel(retained the stock pressure plate). It gets better as you put miles on it. My reverse still chatters a bit though if i'm not carefull. The clutch pedal should tighten up later on too.
