The problem just started last night after i installed the trans 3 days ago . When i start the car the trans makes a clank sound . Doesnt do it idleing just when you rev the motor any amount . When reved just a hair it will go clank clank but when i rev it up a lil it will go clank clank then a loud spinning sound . It also does the loud spinning sound a little when switching gears .i took of the fork boot and looked inside and cant see anything wrong . It sounds like its coming from around the clutch area though and not the internal part of the trans where the gears are . Other than that the trans works perfect ,goes into every gear and pedal feels good . What could this possibly be ? Btw the clutch and tob is brand new .It is a south bend stage 2 tz clutch . This is my first car with a manual trans so i dont know how its supposed to be .

Make sure the flywheel to flexplate bolts are tight.

Thanks i didnt even think of that .ill check today . i did use red threadlocker and torque them down though on the flex to clutch (modular).

Thats what is was and some how the drivers side trans mount cracked . Its all better now . no noise not even the tob noise
