Check the fluid level. Follow the procedure that FranklinDSM posted in the "What's up with the ATX tranny..." thread. The thing most people forget is the car has to be running. If the level is fine, then you may want to have it checked out by a pro. The tranny is too complex to just start replacing things (and most parts are internal).

Is it shifting hard while driving, or shifting hard into gear. Like P to R, or R to P, or P to D etc etc?
Mine would go from P to R/D/N really hard. I put motor mount inserts in the front and it went away.
But if it's happening while driving, id check the level then take it to a pro. Maybe get a clutch volume index done, maybe your clutch packs are toasty

Really sounds like a fluid level issue. Just do the correct procedure to test the fluid but do it first when the car is cold see what the level is. Then take the car and run it on the interstate for a little while. Then go home and while its still hot test the fluid level. Getting the level just right is a little bit of work but its a must on the auto tranny. As you drive it heats up and thins out. Thus you end up with more fluid . Also did you replace the filter when you changed the fluid? could be an issue with the fluid having trouble passing through the clogged filter.

May wanna take a peak at your mounts, front and rear. As well as taking it to a shop to get a clutch volume index done, that way you can see if you've burnt up all your clutch meat or not. You may wanna try replace your EATX relay on the firewall, pretty sure thats its name. There should be 3 relays, reverse lights, ASOD and then EATX. Its been said that that relay wont give a check code if its bad so a shop will try and try to figure out what the problem is and never find out until they finally replace that relay, worth a shot imo.
