ok here is my setup:
95 nonturbo talon with custom turbo (ghetto rigged)
270 cc fuel injectors from Han's Racecraft
super fmu
using a wideband to tune the sfmu so i don't need a fuel pressure gauge

the problem:
when i start to boost...the sfmu wont build pressure...cause i when you start to boost the wideband is suppose to drop from 14.xx to a lower number...like 11.xx or 12.xx...cause that is a safe a/f ratio...

so if anyone knows whats wrong please inform me...if you need more info just post...

Why dont you need a fuel pressure guage. I have a WB and I still need one. How do you know you have the correct fuel pressure?

Just to make sure, do you have a vac/boost line connected to your S/FMU? If not, your not going to raise pressure.

It's kind of hard to automatically assume it's a fuel pressure problem with the info you gave us.

What if your wideband sensor is bad?

What static fuel pressure did you install at? (you did set this right?)

Did you bypass the stock FPR?

What disc and spring combo are you using in the SFMU?

You have a good signal to the SFMU?

i've read alot of thread saying that if i'm using a sfmu on 95 talon/eclipse i should disable the stock fpr...is that true...what happens if i don't...

The reason the Cartech FMU worked fine is because it utilizes the stock FPR to work and doesn't need to get rid of it like an SFMU does. Buy a fuel pressure gauge and make sure you are using the right ratio disc and spring combo in the SFMU to work with the injectors you have.

you have a 95, so I believe that by modifying the stock fpr you disable it as to allow fuel to be regulated past it.

well everything was fine when I was using the cartech fmu. Every time it hit boost the a/f would drop all the way down to a 11.4 using the wideband. the wide band is not bad had it tested at the dyno. I'm just confused because everything was fine before. I didn't check fuel pressure yet. What about the three ports on the side of the sfmu? DO i need to hook up lines to them or what??

No you don't need to use them, as long as you have a vaccuum line going from the intake manifold to the top port on the sfmu

Make sure the screw on the top isn't backed out too far, otherwise fuel pressure won't rise. (I had this happen before) You really would benefit from a $20 fp gauge here just so you can test the sfmu to make sure it is raising pressure instead of going off the wideband.

what should I set the fuel pressure to then. I'll get a gauage and tee it in the line.
