Hey peeps,

I was searching around but was only able to find the standard log manifold. I was curious if any of you happen to have found or know where you can get a manifold alot like the tubulor manifolds you see on the 4g63 motors or are most of the ones you see like that you have to build?

There isn't one that's mass produced or anything. No matter what you do stay away from the OBX manifolds on ebay.

One of our members has recently built one for himself and I think is willing to make them for others, but you'll have to pm him for details. His name's Mike and his SN is eclipse982nrRST. He'll probably post in this thread if he sees it anyways

If you're looking for something along the lines of an equal length tubular manifold, you're pretty much on your own. Best bet would be to inquire with a company that specializes in custom manifolds or finding one that would be willing to build one.

It's not that easy to build one either if they don't know clearances for fitment. This is probably part of the reason why we don't have a vendor building them. Theres too many factors to consider and they're typically a one-off job, not mass produced.

Dont think so, Its going to get TIG welded next weekend, and then I think I am going to leave it how it is. It will not rust, its all stainless :)

I plan on it. All I have left to do it cutout a hole in the collector for the wastegate.

We have had plenty of support of members here on 2gnt that want tubular / equal length manifolds...thats the not problem I see.

The problem I see is that no one wants to the money to get one. Some members have PM'd me about making them one of my designs, and I give them the price...$450 shipped. Is this a high price? No it is not.

You have to take into mind...my design manifold, just in fittings and piping, I have $130, flange $75, turbo flange $40, wastegate flange $25...this does not include the time into making a collector which is a pain in the dick, and then making the manifold on the car...about 8-10 hours of labor.

People PM me and I give them the price and they are like "whoa, thats out of my range" ... well, you want some a stainless tubular manifold for 150 bucks like a log style, not happening.

Anyway, I am just saying the support is here, its just to me it seems, people want these things cheaper and it wont happen from me or a vendor if they produce them.

Loook at OBX, theirs are what, $250-$300 and they dont even fit....

I'd totally buy one if I could guarantee it'd fit on my car. I don't think it will, though.

How many inches difference is the 2.4 in height then the 2.0 Dino? Could you make a guestimate? Because I have a way to lower each runner down some...

It isn't that simple. The deck is ~1" higher on a 2.4L, but you have to consider that all these blocks are angled back for oil drain. It's more pronounced on a 2.4L setup because it's that much taller. My 2.0L STAR manifold puts my turbo brushing the hood as-is. Take your ram horn manifold, raise it ~1", and add a few degrees north in the forward axis and i guarantee it'll hit my hood.

I didn't actually know you were dishing these out already Mike, I will definitely be in line as soon as I finally get my replacement car and rest of parts shipped down from Alaska.

I think this is funny because people really do need to understand that this is not the same old tubular manifold and it really does take time to make, and make fit correctly. I don't think your asking price is unreasonable at all, I personally can't justify spending the money on one currently when to me the log manifold is working out just fine. However, if I wanted the car to be a show car also I would jump on it as soon as I had money, or if I had the rest of the car setup the way I want and had some extra cash laying around I would get one. IMO your asking price is very reasonable, $300 labor, for a full days work on something that normally people would probably have to pay in the range of 60-90/hr for if they went to a local shop who would be willing to do this, not to mention they'd need the car and would need a lot more time than you since you've already do the R&D

Punishment is trying to market these as apart of their "budget" line, for which they also introduced several 4G63 models. Their asking price is $325, which is very comparable to a $300 Treadstone manifold, or $300 Street Source manifold (if anyone buys those anymore).

I agree that your asking price for SS manifolds isn't unreasonable though. Any 4G63 tuner knows that a really good tubular manifold can cost up to $1,000. $450 seems like a deal in comparison to that...

I would have to agree Mike that $450 isn't an outrageous price for a manifold like yours. That's what I was expecting for a price minnimum on something like that.
