hey whats up, i was reading around and read that some people have different sizes for the ic pipes. im gonna run a 20g and want to know wich size do u guys recomend, do i go 2" to the intercooler and then 2.5" from the ic to the tb? or do i go 2.5" to the IC and then 3" from the IC to the TB? or will i lose psi with such a big piping?

thanks dudes!

I would say use 2.25-2.5" piping. How much boost do you plan on running? For most people, 2.5" is considered overkill with piping diameter, but it is usually included in piping kits.

Most people run between 2"-2.25" IC piping. 2.5" is a bit overkill like totaleclipse_05 mentioned and would only be beneficial if you were running some pretty high boost levels and pushing a good amount of air.

I believe the Hahn Racecraft kit comes with 2" piping from the turbo to the intercooler and 2.25" piping from the intercooler to the intake manifold.

i want to try and get to 25psi at the dyno and track, but other than that i would probobly ride around 10-13phi on a daily driver. so what do u guys think?

2.25 or 2.5 would be alright. Whatever's cheaper IMO haha. I'm sure 2.25 would be ideal for that setup, but I could never find any 2.25 inch piping kits so I just went with 2.5

I got my 2.25" kit on ebay. Just keep searching. I think the 2.25" piping is the better choice for you.

alright, so would it be cool if i go 2.25 from the turbo to the IC and then 2.5 from the intercooler to the TB? or can all the piping be one size?

All of it can be the same size. I believe some people use the 2" piping from the turbo to the SMIC because many turbo outlets are 2" and throttle bodies are closer to 2.25"-2.5" on our cars. I use 2.25" piping on my entire setup with a silicone coupler that tapers from 2" to 2.25" on the turbo outlet.
