Anyone have a supercharger on their car, custom or that new one I heard about on the board recently? Im not even sure if its out yet. Although superchargers seem to be better for engine I doubt they would put out the power turbos do. We have 3 soon to be 4 supercharged cars in our club now and I have someone can install it for free which would save $. Anyone know if the supercharger that is coming out a centrifugal supercharger like the Vortech ones? My friend has this sick ass Supercharged MX-3 that cries while it idles and screams when u step on it. Car gets a lot of attension at all the car shows we attend. I luv the noise. No one has one coming out for our car that I have seen anywhere. It would be nice to help out shitty low end. I think there is not enough room to have a super charger in our car.

How come theres not enough room for the supercharger? I talked w/ a company near my house that could do a custom twin turbo on my car but it would be expensive and wouldn't work as well. If you can fit 2 turbos or 1 big turbo on our cars then how come u cant fit a supercharger?

well the first thing that comes to mind is that you are going to have to make a custom crank pulley to drive the supercharger. Have you seen how much room we have between the frame and the crank pulley? Not much. Plus depending on the design, if you use and Eaton style you would have to remake the intake manifold for it to work and if you go with the vortech style you will have to figure out how to mount the turbo looking blower in front of the car.

Blast... Im just trying to be different.. there so many turbo Eclipses out there.. I have nothing against it but Im trying to be different. Either way Im waiting for prices on Star and Hahn Stage 1 and some more goodies. I cant find that Howell rebuild kit either.. I have gone to the link everyone posts and it shows Eagle Rods etc but no rebuilding package. If its only $1100 or less Ill get all my turbo crap then rebuild engine so Ill feel safer about running more boost (15PSI) so I can spank my boys MX-3 and turbo Miata.
