Could I see pics of where you put your FMU, and How much fuel line did you use? I just have the 12:1(tight budget)...

I dont have pictures but i put mine where the cruise control box mounts on the passenger side. (my talon didnt have cruise so the spot was open.)

Here's a picture of mine from long ago... before I even installed the turbo, I think. Anyway, it gives you a pretty good idea of where the FMU is mounted. I bent the hard return line (early style fuel system), and only needed a few feet of hose (maybe 2-3 feet).

Here is a pic of my setup from the eclipse. It was a 99 so it had the later fuel system which meant the FMU had to be mounted by the tank. I used probably 2-3 ft of high pressure fuel line.

^^^Those pictures are basically the two options. Up front for early fuel system out back for late model fuel system. With late model fuel system, you can put it in the back and spend <$5 to install it for fuel line and for the vac line to run back to it.

Personally I can't even remember where I bolted mine up under the car, but it was somewhere back there lol. Probably screwed it in by the seat like in the pictures in gsgoinfast's write up in the wiki

Start off by taking your back seat out and the cover off to gain access to where the fuel pump is. From there you can see the two lines (in/out) one's rubber, one's metal. Now go under the car and find the stock fpr, it's attached to both of these lines. The fmu goes between the stock fpr and the tank in line with the rubber fuel line. Basically you're cutting the rubber line and attaching the fmu in the middle of it, but you will most likely need to get a new rubber line that is longer in order to mount the fmu somewhere underneath the car and prevent kinks in the line.

This is a little diagram I made about removing the stock fpr, but you can see the basic setup and where the rubber line is labeled is where you would attach the fmu

I know it might be alot to ask but could you draw a diagram with the FMU already installed....from my understanding the bottom drawing I made is what it could look like...but that would mean that the fuel would never make it past the T housing that the stock FPR was in.could you sketch up a quick diagram of the way its supposed to be...Gsgoinfast is pretty much my basic source on this turbo build but he doesnt really detail the way he hooked up the FMU on his either.

yeah pics do help alot... heres a more complete diagram not so choppy like our other pics...something you may want to use for the site

Some things that I recommend from experience.

1. The fmu with the 12:1 disk always made me run rich under WOT. So that that I would bog down.

2. The sfmu is definetly worth it.

3. I dont recommend putting the fmu in the back because you have ALL that way for vacume line.. That's a lot of vacume line under the car. How long is it going to take to corrode, tare, or not rise fast enough. The ending result is that your motor goes kaboom.

I found a local place called Evco House of Hose and they make SS braided line for really cheap. All the way back to the tank for under $50 bones.

Well worth it.
