I am debating on whether to water cool or oil cool my turbo....what would you suggest and could I see pics of how you did it?

It depends on the turbo you go with. Some are water and oil-cooled and some are just oil. They don't have just water-cooled ones as the oil also lubricates the turbo along with cooling.

as totaleclipse said, all turbos are oil cooled
the options for water cooling are mostly on Ballbearing turbos

your Garrett has it there for a reason
since its BB there isnt the high flow of oil through the CHRA as there is in a standard Journal bearing CHRA, the flow is restricted since its only for lubrication purposes and not to float the shaft within the journals.
therefore the watercooling helps take over some of the cooling duties that the oil usually does.

Deffinatly recomend using the water cooling, its not hard to tap into your lines that run to the heater core and plumb the turbo in there.
it will only adversly effect your cooling if it is inadaquate to begine with. if your running *slightly* hot now you may want to look into upgrading your thermostat as well as maybe a radiator upgrade if its too far outside your comfort zone.

if you need help with plumbing PM me, i did mine with AN fittings and SS line (looks good but a bit pricy)

lol oops i guess i forgot to ask that :P

again totaleclipse is right, this wil only work if your CHRA has 4 ports on it
however if you only have 2, Garrett is offering an upgrade of there CHRA's to a BB watercooled center cartrige :thumbsup
if you have the plate #'s you can call them and see if they will let you exchange the CHRA for a new watercooled one at a discount

Here are some pics of my previous water cooled 16G.

That is all done with parts from Lowe's. A brass tee for rubber hose, copper pipe, copper elbows, and brass tube/NPT adapter. Joints were soldered like household plumbing and the whole thing was painted in hi-temp enamel. That kept me from constantly changing standard rubber hoses.
