alright here is what is done tdo5 turbo that is pushing about 7 or 8 pounds. should i up grade to bigger injectors and fuel pump? i also just bought a wideband. the reason why im thinking of bigger injectors is because the car just kidof studders if i hit the gas below 4 grand but if i slowly increase the gas it goes good. any advice would be great

What fuel management are you using now?

I hope you are at LEAST using a FMU or Super FMU at the moment. Regarless, there is absolutely NO way to have a turbo on your car with the stock fuel pump so get yourself a Walbro GSS-342 255lph high pressure pump and never worry about the fuel pump again (for the most part).

If the above mentioned is true, the sputtering you are referring to is your car leaning out VERY badly and you are basicly trying to see how many parts you can break your engine into every time you get on the gas or go into even a few pounds of boost.

im not running any fuel managment, ive been trying to find what else i needed so fuel wize i need a 255 fuel pump and mabey 450 injector and lean it out with a super afc, would this work?

LOL, you had better keep your car out of boost if you plan on using that engine still. Why would you turbo a car without fuel upgrades at all???

You seem to be on an obvious budget, so go with what Jamie suggested: a Walbro 255 High Pressure fuel pump for the eclipse and a 12:1 FMU. With that you can use your stock injectors and boost up to about 6 psi safely. I'm surprised you haven't blown or caused your engine any damage yet. Please, for the love of your car, read up A LOT more about turbo'ing a 2GNT.

To use the 450 injectors you will need a SUPER FMU with a 4:1 disc and a larger -6AN fuel return line would make it easier to get the lower fuel pressure needed for a decent idle (around 16-20psi static pressure). The S-AFC would be helpful for idle but you'd be better off tuning the rest of your fuel curve with the S-FMU.

DO NOT BOOST AT ALL RIGHT NOW!! You WILL blow your engine!

Just keep reading the "MODS AND TECH INFO" section and you'll get yourself on the right track.

No one else mentioned this, but I'm guessing he doesn't have a ML or FCD which could also be part of the stuttering. I'm sure it's leaning out like there's no tomorrow from the fact you don't have a larger pump and an fmu, but unless you're a 95 you are going to need a missing link or fcd also or you will still have problems once you get your fuel system set up. FCD's are sold by 2 of our board members if you check the FS section. STAY OUT OF BOOST UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR FUEL SYSTEM SETUP!!!! Yes it's tempting to just boost a little, but you will damage stuff if you continue the way you are.

I would just go with a Walbro 255. Once you get that, you should never really need to upgrade. They are only like $90 brand new also. I got mine from extremepsi.com

I've heard others say it, but I tried it and the pump could not supply the fuel necessary, fuel pressure would not rise over ~60-65psi when 90+ is needed that's not good, just get a walbro

i hope u are not boosting like that . get a walbro 255lph .100 dollars is better than the price of your motor . the stock pump is too small to boost anything with . you must be running lean as hell . also like mentioned part of what u are experiencing can be fuel cut from not having a fcd .

on the wideband it read 20.1 when it spoust to be 14.7. i will try and get everything and put it on this week thanks

20:1 lol, i never even heard of an a/f that lean, how the hell did you car even stay on, and no you dont even want to be at 14.7;1 that would be stoich but ur running boost on a higher compression engine you want your a/fs to be around 13 ish while under boost. i really dont know how your car is even running right now.

The common consensus is to tune for 11.5:1 under boost. 20:1 is just wow. I guess it's good you spent the money on the wideband, but you really need to stop boosting until your fuel setup is together

Most widebands max out at 20:1 so he possibly could be even leaner than that! Honestly, I dont know how your engine is still in one piece right now,lol. So what ratio FMU did you get? You said you were boosting 7-8psi now but with the stock injectors and a standard FMU its safest to not exceed 5-6psi. If you wanted the 450 injectors in your setup you HAVE to get a S-FMU instead.

20:1 usually means a misfire (like he said, wb maxed, unburnt oxygen coming by sensor), more often from being to rich, but the other is possible too.

What octane fuel you running?

I would check your plugs too and replace them with a colder plug if you haven't already!

You running synthetic oil?
