98877, Costum Downpipe Question. Posted by RfOeCnKdOeNr, Jan-17-07 06:48 AM
Hey!
I have been putting together a costum turbo kit and I am very close to finished with it. My question is how much exhaust peices would i need for a costum downpipe? Just a 90, 45, and a flex? Also would I use the stock cat flange? My father is a great welder, i just dont know what i need to buy. Thanks!

Depending on what size pipe you are going to use (if you use the stock cat flange) you will have to open up the hole to 2.5 or what ever size you use. So you will need the flang from the turbo, 90 degree, straight, 90 degree, straight, flex pipe, straight, flange to cat. You will also need an o2 bung. That is how my 3" is laid out. -Todd

Thanks dude, i think i am going to go with the 3 inch if possable with the stock cat flange. If i am gonna go costum i might as well make it worth while. Does anyone know where to buy an o2 bung?? Is it possable to use the OEM?

If your doing 3" I think the stock cat flange is to small. Also you can get an o2 bung from any exhaust shop. -Todd
