So this weekend i put the turbo kit that i pieced together on my car.

Star manifold
t3/t4
turbonetics evolution wastegate

Do i need a fcd if my wastegate is set to 7 psi?

I am not running more than 7 psi untill i can do my rebuild, which then i will buy a fcd.

just hoping i don't need one right away.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you need one or you will experience fuel cut. You're spending all this money to turbocharge your car don't skimp out trying to save an extra $20-$50 to not have the car run right. contact either mike, eclipse982nrRST or paul, velocitapaola to get an fcd. BTW in case you didn't know, you can also get a missing link, more expensive ($40-$60), but the easiest thing to install ever. My mother could do it, and she's retarded when it comes to handling any tools. All you need is a ratchet with the correct socket and a screwdriver and you're done in 5 minutes from the time you go into the garage till the time you go back in the house.

The ECU doesn't like seeing any postive manifold pressure...so even if you where boosting 1psi you would need an FCD....that if you car would run good enough to build one psi with all the fuel cut. LOL
