Alright, Im used to 6bolt swapping the turbo cars, and this is the first 420a car ive worked on. The kid has an ebay 57 trim turbo, manifold, and 38mm wastegate. and i have a few questions about the 420a (searched, just got lost in this old style forum)
what kind of FMU do we need to use for stock injectors (12:1)? and how much can we boost these without tuning? (im going to let him use my emanage i had laying around later if he decides to up the boost)
i know i can turbo the car for him but i didnt know what you guys normally boost on stock motors without tuning, or how much with tuning
thanks!

Ok, you are really going to get reamed on this one, all these answers are in the search but here it goes anyway. I haven't been here all that long but i have asked all these questions and the guys here are really helpful and knowledgeable! Yes the 12:1 will be fine for stock injectors. You can boost from 5-7psi on a stock motor. It may last a day and it may last a few years. As for how much boost with tuning, it all depends what you have. If you want to run anything over the 5-7psi, you are going to need to upgrade the internals for sure!!. Oh yea, 1st and foremost, you definatley need a walbro 255lph high output fuel pump before you even think about boosting!! He is also going to need an air fuel guage, fuel pressure guage and an egt guage

yeah i know all of that stuff. but i just needed to know about the fmu, and if it needed any tuning since it was low like 5 psi,
so im guessing your saying im good as long as im on low boost as far as tuning goes
and i tried searching but i cant figure out this forum, a long time ago this forum was alot easier to use
thanks alot

Yup, pretty well all you can do is plug it all in and go, there is nothing to tune really
