97631, installing an autometer A/F gauge
Posted by PURE-SPECIMEN, Oct-04-06 08:19 PM
Ok, so I have read the archives and found different answers to this and just wanted someone to clear up something for me. Where exactly do you splice in the wires for the A/F gauge? i read on one post you tap in thru the engine bay??? but on the GS-T model its spliced inside the car behind the radio, I have a GS model and I wouldn't think its that different. So can I splice in the wire harness behind the radio on mine? And, is it the purple wire connected to a black and white one, and the black wire connected to another black wire and the red connected to a red wire? Thats how the gauge was connected to my GS-T.

please help eek!

the a/f wire has to be spliced to pin 20 i believe on the ecu . white wire wit black stripe . for power tap into the cig lighter

If I were you I would not buy this a/f... just save and buy a wideband.

ok so purple wire to pin 20 which is a white wire with a black stripe, and the red "power" to the cig lighter, and what about the black one?

haha yeah, so no wire to splice the black one to, ok. i asked to be sure cause on dsm tuners there was something about hooking the black wire to another black wire, and when i took it off my GS-T (which had the a/f gauge there when i bought the car) the black wire was tied on to a black wire as well.
