I'd love to see a pic of that thing on the car.....

with the turbo going through the hood, lol. I wonder if they maybe welded it upside down by accident and just don't realize it. Might not be a bad design if the flange was turned around.

EDIT: Looks like the #2 and #3 runners need to loop up and back down. I'm not positive, but the one looks like it is only about an inch long and the other is maybe 3 inches.

yeah what a joke...
I bet they did weld the exhaust manifold plate on upside down.

Actually its really for the neon I believe and not the eclipse/avenger

Yeah, it would work for the neon, the manifold is right; just not for our cars

Looks like a hunk of junk.

Unamazing how there are so many eBay manifolds, they never show a close up of the welds. I wonder why...

I bought this kit for my talon, the quality is awesome. Although, you are probably right about it not fitting, I wish I would have noticed before. The manifold is made from OBX racing. I'm sure they make one for our cars too!

You bought this kit for your talon and the quality is awesome but you wish they would make one for our car? I am confused here, lol.

I bought it off ebay and read it was for a 420A. I just got the kit day before yesterday and haven't had time to tear the exhaust manifold off my 96 talon yet. The kit is nice, but I would have like to see oil return line, intercooler piping, and intercooler boots. I will try and get it off tomorrow (I haven't done it yet because I can feel one of the bolts breaking, and I'm not looking forward to drilling and tapping). I thought all 420A had the same bolt pattern for the exhaust manifold but it seems I might be wrong! I will see tomorrow it fits. I am not familiar with 420A engines (even though it is my first car), this is my first crack at turbocharging a naturally aspirated car and I admit I am a bit unsure.

Yup, wrong manifold. It is a mirror image of what it should be! No big deal though, I will make it work with a U-bend with T3 flanges on both ends. That way I can position the turbo so I can keep both radiator fans and have compressor outlet aimed better for intercooler piping. It DOES bolt up just fine, but the valve cover is in the way, and the hood probably wouldn't close!

Also, it could work if one were to carefully cut the exhaust manifold flange off and re-welded it to the other side, then have it machined flat.

Or better yet, if there is a T3 turbo that spins left instead of right it would fit! Do turbos spin left in Australia??lol

Do they in Canada? :P Don't waste your time on that manifold, just cut your losses and move on. If you can weld a U-bend you might as well weld a log manifold. This is just voice of reason, I hope it is coming off in the most sincere way possible, good luck and happy boosting :thumbsup

doesn't look very impressive to me if it was a Twin turbo manifold that'd be something. what's up with that flange also its got too manyholes in it.

The flange will also work with the next size up turbo from the T3, that is what the extra holes are for. I know adding a U-bend is a lot of extra work, but I want make this my own kit different from anyone else's boosted 420A. I will mount an EGR bung into the U-bend also. And I am hoping to be able to make up a 3" downpipe without having to move anything around. It will be mandrel 3" from the turbo back, no muffler or cat. I just want to try a few ideas I have for the car, if they don't work at least I will know for myself.
